This painting took many turns before it told me what it needed. In the Spring I try to make a trip back to the Central Coast to get my ocean fix. I usually stop in Moro Bay to visit the estuary, one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. This year I can’t go and knew I would miss seeing the beautiful white cranes feeding in the shallows. I have painted this estuary many times and have never put in a crane. Since I am missing them I now have one to visit every morning, until it finds a new home.
